1. Competition Carting
Given a series of unanswered questions and concerns about the use of the Richard Place site for the storage of garbage trucks, the Board directed the Planning Department  to send a memo to the ZBA in time for its October 24 meeting highlighting its concerns. These included whether the proposed use was in conformance with the zoning code, the future of Richard Place, wetlands, employee parking, screening the trailway, stormwater, and protection against contamination from potential spills.

2. State Land Corporation
The Board supported the rezoning of the front portion of the site for commercial use but had reservations about how to best protect the northern 70 acres which the conceptual plan shows as open space.  The Board was concerned that if the entire 100 acres is rezoned commercial, a future site plan might be significantly different from the conceptual plan it was reviewing as part of the rezoning request.
