Yorktown graduate Cassie Reilly-Boccia ('08) and her Alabama teammates won the national title as they defeated Oklahoma 5-4 Wednesday night according to this page on the school's website.

With the win, Alabama won the best-of-three series against the Sooners, 2-1, and finished the season, 60-8. The Crimson Tide becomes the first school from the Southeastern Conference to ever win a national title in softball.

Girls Hoops 

The Girls Basketball Coaches Association of New York (BCANY) Team will hold tryouts from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 12 at Ossining High School according to the LoHud Girls Basketball Blog.

Any girl who played in Section 1 this past season and is eligible to play high school basketball this winter is allowed to try out for the squad.

Lax Camp

The Victory Lacrosse Camp will be held for grades 4-8 July 23-26 at the Brookside School and for those in grades K-3 at Sports Barn Field July 30-Aug. 3.
