Yorktown, Somers Athletes Named MSG 'Players to Watch'

Dylan Realbuto and Nick Mariano. were singled out for their athletic accomplishments and achievements to come.

Two local high schoolers have been named as "Athletes to Watch" by the team at MSG Varsity: wrestler Dylan Realbuto and  quarterback Nick Mariano.

Mariano, a 6-foot tall high school senior, is an all-section talent who has completed 54 of 90 passes for 1,147 yards and five touchdowns while also carrying the ball 87 times for 936 yards and six touchdowns.

Dylan Realbuto

Realbuto is a 113-pound junior has proved to be a "master of winning tight matches." He went an impressive 44-3 in 2012, winning 24 of his matches by pin. He was named to MSG Varsity's All-Hudson Valley first team and earned all-section honors.

First of all, I don't understand why teachers are paying for anything out of pocket when the supplyRead More lists that parents receive at the end of the summer are as long as their arms. Secondly, SOCIETY lets the kids down?!?!? I think the school taxes in Yorktown should be sufficient so that the teachers don't have to pay any out-of-pocket expenses. SOCIETY does not let the kids down, it is those who are in control of the school tax monies who let the kids down. Perhaps the administrators should take salary cuts, or maybe we should even eliminate some of those administrative positions. No teacher should have to pay for supplies out of pocket.
