Yorktown Celebrates Reopening of High School Turf Field

The turf field and track renovation was managed through a 2006 bond.

Yorktown High School and school district officials celebrated the grand opening of the renovated turf field at the high school on Tuesday, April 23.

The ceremony took place on the track, just before the boys’ lacrosse game against Somers.

"We want to thank the community for their continual support of the district-wide infrastructure improvement," School Board President Jackie Carbone said. "We look forward to having our athletes and their competitors use the new turf field."
