Lori Roberts Named as Principal of Crompond School

She served as assistant principal at Yorktown High School for the past four years.

Lori Roberts, who served as assistant principal at Yorktown High School for the past four years, has been named as principal of Crompond School.

She will suceed  who has served as an elementary principal in the Yorktown Central School District for 12 years and is retiring at the end of this school year.

"[She] cares about children and provides opportunities for them to grow and develop into competent, caring and confident learners who want to make a difference," Superintendent of Schools Dr. Ralph Napolitano said of Roberts. "She is a life-long learner who is always interested in applying the most effective and efficient strategies to today’s classrooms."

Roberts is currently enrolled in the Doctoral program at Manhattanville College. She participates in and often facilitates district committees and study groups, including Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS), Response to Intervention (RTI), Annual Professional Performance Review (APPR), Curriculum Council, technology team building and district Emergency Response Teams.

The woman has served the Yorktown school community for 16 of her 25 years in education. Prior to serving as assistant principal, she taught fifth grade in Yorktown for more than 10 years.
