Kennedy Catholic High School to Debut 'The Pajama Game' Musical

The 37 students in the cast and 19 crew members are involved in this weekend's spring musical production.

John F. Kennedy Catholic High School students will present Richard Bissell’s "The Pajama Game" as this year’s spring musical from March 7 to March 10.

Second-year director Dana Merritt, who has been the owner of ArtsCaravan Performing Arts Studio in Katonah since 2000, said she is realistic about the fact that of the 37 students in the cast, 19 crew members and four pit musicians, many will never set foot on a stage again.

To that end, she chose "The Pajama Game" as this year’s spring musical because it presented the "best opportunity to highlight individual students’ talents."

Merritt makes it a point to give a part to everyone who auditions and at least one line or chance to shine.

"That’s what high school theater is all about – having as many kids as possible learning to love theater," she said.
