Upon hearing that the nationally renowned substance abuse speaker and educator, Mike Nerney, was scheduled to conduct two days of workshops in Westchester County, Yorktown's Alliance for Safe Kids (ASK) jumped into action requesting a community presentation during his visit. As stated in its mission statement, ASK works with all sectors of the Yorktown community to strengthen the safety net for our youth.

Yorktown will now benefit from a broader community presentation that also includes our parents, law enforcement, local government, medical and business professionals, coaches, youth leaders and members of the media. Yorktown's safety net will strengthen each time we reinforce awareness and education as an entire community working together to keep our kids safe.
