Storm Cleanup for Branches and Logs in Yorktown

The Environmental Conservation Department will not pick up logs or piles of branches that are not cut, bundled and tied.

The town of Yorktown has issued a storm clean up update on the town's website. Since residents will need branches picked up from their properties, the following is in effect:

  • The Organic Yard Waste Facility will be open on Tuesday, Nov. 6 (Election Day)
  • The Environmental Conservation Department will pick up branches when they are cut to a maximum of 4’ in length, bundled and tied with a strong cord. Once the bundled and tied branches are brought to curbside, the resident should call 914-245-4438 and the town's department will add their address to its collection list.
  • For the month of November, the permit fee for contractors will be waived for those that need to dispose logs and branches at the Organic Yard Waste Facility. A “Special Access Permit” is available in the Environmental Conservation Department's office. Residents will need to complete the permit which must be given to the attendant at the Yard Waste Facility. Click here to download a permit.
