Yorktown Man, 51, Charged With DWI, High Blood-Alcohol Level

A 51-year-old Yorktown man is due in court on Wednesday to answer charges of drunken driving and having a blood alcohol level of more than twice the legal limit, state police said.

The man was arrested on Dec. 6 at 12:10 a.m. after receiving a complaint about an "erratically operated vehicle" on the Taconic State Parkway. His vehicle was stopped and police revealed the man was driving while intoxicated.

He was charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor.

The Yorktown man provided a positive breath sample which yielded a blood alcohol content of 0.15 percent, police said. The legal limit is 0.08.

He was scheduled to appear in the Town of East Fishkill Court on Dec. 11.
