Yorktown Man, 21, Charged with DWI

A 21-year-old Yorktown man is due in court next week to answer a drunk driving charge after his vehicle was observed to be "weaving in the traffic lane," Yorktown police said.

His vehicle was stopped on July 27 at about 2:40 a.m. on Route 202. Investigation revealed he had driven while intoxicated, police said. He later submitted to a breath test to determine his blood alcohol content, which was 0.08 percent or higher.

The man was charged with driving while intoxicated and driving with a blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent or more, both misdemeanors. He was also charged with failure to use designated lane, a traffic offense.

The man was released and scheduled to appear in Yorktown Town Court on Aug. 27.
