Yorktown Man, 20, Arrested for Leaving Scene of Accident in Parking Lot

A 20-year-old Yorktown Heights man has been arrested for leaving the scene of an accident after he struck a person with his car and drove away, Yorktown police said. 

Jonathan A. Lobo was charged with leaving the scene of a personal injury accident, a misdemeanor. 

Police said a 19-year-old Mohegan Lake resident reported to police on Dec. 28, 2012 that he was injured when he was struck by by vehicle in the Yorktown Community and Cultural Center parking lot. The victim was transported to the Westchester County Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries.

Lobo voluntarily surrendered himself to police on Jan. 3. He was released and scheduled to appear in Yorktown Town Court on Feb. 14.
