Wrong-Way Driver on I-684 was Drunk, Police Say

The Connecticut man was charged with a felony due to a prior DWI conviction.

New York State police arrested a Connecticut man at 2:40 a.m. July 12 after he was seen driving southbound in the northbound lanes of I-684 in North Salem.

David A. Gray of Bethel, CT was charged with felony DWI because he had a previous drunk-driving conviction, police said. 

He was also charged with Operating a Vehicle Without an Interlock Device, Operating a Vehicle with a Revoked License, Reckless Driving, and first-degree Reckless Endangerment.

Mr. Gray was arraigned before Town of North Salem Court and sent to Westchester County Jail without bail.  He is due to re-appear in Town of North Salem Court July 14.
