Three men are facing criminal charges in Yorktown after two 16-year-old girls reported being raped, Yorktown police said.
A Yorktown man, 27, and a Cortlandt Manor man, 21, have been charged with rape, while another Yorktown man, 19, faces several misdemeanor charges related to the incident.
The two girls reported to police on Nov. 3 at around 2 p.m. that they were raped earlier that day by acquaintances at a residence on Gregory Street in Yorktown. The three men were identified as possible suspects and located at various locations in Yorktown, police said.
- Jesse Suggs, 27, of Yorktown, was charged with two felony counts of third-degree rape.
- Vincent Silva, 21, of Cortlandt Manor, was charged with a third-degree rape, a felony.
- Frank Cristiano III, 19, of Yorktown, was charged with unlawfully dealing with a child, endangering the welfare of a child and attempted sexual misconduct, misdemeanors.
Yorktown police Lt. Kevin Soravilla said there was no force used, but the third-degree felony rape charges were filed because of the lack of consent due to the ages of the girls (under age 17). Cristiano III was charged with a misdemeanor and not a felony because he is under the age of 21.
The three men were remanded to the Westchester County Jail after being unable to post bail. They were scheduled to re-appear in Yorktown Town Court on Nov. 8.
