Shrub Oak Woman Breaks Into Home, Steals Rings, Cash

A 21-year-old Shrub Oak woman is due in court on Tuesday to answer a burglary charge for breaking into a New Road home and stealing two women's rings and cash totally $1,000, Yorktown police said. 

Police said the burglary was reported on Dec. 14 at around 11:45 a.m. Investigation revealed Brooke L. Tschudy broke into the New Road home on Dec. 13 while the homeowners weren't home and stole the two women's rings and cash.

Tschudy was arrested at her Mountain View Place home on Dec. 14 and charged with second-degree burglary, a felony. 

The woman was remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $10,000. She was scheduled to appear in Yorktown Town Court on Tuesday, Dec. 17.
