Police: Mohegan Lake Man Repeatedly Throws Person to Ground, Causes $1,500 Damages to Home

Gordon W. Ewing, 44, was remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $15,000 bail. He was scheduled to appear in Yorktown Town Court on Dec. 11.

A 44-year-old Mohegan Lake man is due in court on Tuesday to answer criminal charges that he injured another person during a domestic dispute and caused damages to the home, Yorktown police said. 

Gordon W. Ewing was charged with third-degree assault, a misdemeanor, and second-degree criminal mischief, a felony.

Police began their investigation on Dec. 7 when they were called to a Mohegan Lake home at about 7:50 a.m. Police said Ewing intentionally caused physical injury, bruising and substantial pain to another person by repeatedly throwing the person to the ground. ln addition, he intentionally caused damage to the residence in excess of $1,500, police said.

Less than two hours later, Ewing was located and placed under arrest.

Ewing was remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $15,000 bail. He was scheduled to appear in Yorktown Town Court on Dec. 11.
