Police: Woman Drove Drunk with 2 Children

A 43-year-old Katonah woman was due in court on Tuesday to answer charges of driving drunk with her two children in the vehicle, Yorktown police said. 

Jennifer Connelly was scheduled to appear in Yorktown Town Court on Tuesday, Nov. 27. The woman had been charged with two counts of aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child in the vehicle, a felony. 

On Nov. 21 at about 6:57 p.m. police received a report about an erratic driver with two children in the car. Yorktown police officer Nicholson was dispatched to the area and located Connelly, who was exiting the vehicle.

Investigation at the scene revealed the woman had driven a 2012 Land Rover while in an intoxicated condition with two boys, who are under age 10, in the car. 

Connelly was arrested at the scene and transported to police headquarters for processing.

She was released to her husband after he posted $1,500 bail. The woman was scheduled to appear in Yorktown Town Court Nov. 27.
