Police Issue 61 Tickets Sunday Outside FDR Park on Route 202

Most were because someone in the car wasn't wearing a seatbelt.

The New York State Police issued this press release:

On July 14, 2013 between the hours of 10:00AM and 4:00PM, the State Police in Somers conducted an Occupant Safety Enforcement Detail at the entrance of FDR Park in the Town of Yorktown. The State Police issued a total of 61 tickets, the majority for failure to wear a seat belt. This highway safety initiative perpetuates the mission of the State Police to reduce deaths, injuries and property damage caused by motor vehicle accidents through vehicle and traffic enforcement.
