Police Bust 2 Smoking Marijuana at the Mall

A 22-year-old from Ithaca and a 16-year-old from Cortlandt Manor face charges of fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a misdemeanor.

Yorktown police said they received a call about two people in a car in the parking lot of the Jefferson Valley Mall at about 7 p.m. May 23. They found and arrested the two, whom they said had marijuana in a public place open to public view.

The two were released on bail—$400 for the Ithaca man and $100 for the Cortlandt resident—and are due in Town Court June 26.
