Jefferson Valley Man Found in Possession of Controlled Substances, Marijuana in Park

A 51-year-old Jefferson Valley man is facing criminal charges, including a felony criminal possession of a controlled substance, after police found him at the Blackberry Woods Park after it had closed, police said. 

Nicholas Lustrino was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony; seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor; unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation; and entering or remaining in park after dark, a town code violation.

The man was arrested on Dec. 9 at 10:30 p.m. after police found him in the park, located at 3737 Cranberry Lane. Police said he was in possession of assorted controlled substances, which police did not identify, and marijuana. 

Lustrino was released on $2,500 bail and scheduled to appear in Yorktown Town Court on Thursday, Dec. 19.
