From the Yorktown Heights Engine Co. #1:
Four members of Yorktown Heights Engine Co. #1 Junior Corp graduated the Westchester County Volunteer Fire Academy last month.
Junior Corp Sgt. Nick Spontak, and junior firefighters Nick Havrilla, Cameron Lett, and Chris Pelosi received their New York State Firefighting certifications after completing the Firefighter 1, 2 and Survival classes.
These classes consisted of approximately 124 hours of classroom and hands on training in basic and advanced firefighting.
