Police: Former Employee Steals Cash from Shrub Oak Liquor Store

Michael Rozanski, of Cortlandt Manor, is due in Yorktown Town Court tonight to answer the burglary charge.

A 32-year-old Cortlandt Manor man is due in court tonight to answer a felony burglary charge after police said he broke into a Shrub Oak liquor store and stole cash. 

Michael Rozanski was charged with third-degree burglary, a felony.

Police said the man, who was a former employee at the store, allegedly unlawfully entered and stole a "large amount of cash" at approximately 4 a.m. on Aug. 23. 

Rozanski was located by Peekskill police on Aug. 25 and was taken into custody. He was released to Yorktown police who placed him under arrest.

The defendant was released to the Westchester County Department of Probation in lieu of $15,000 cash bail. He was scheduled to appear in on Aug. 28.
