Cops: Two Teens Steal $308.95 Worth of Items from Sears

In two separate incidents, police arrest a 48-year-old Mahopac woman, 16-year-old Peekskill girl and 18-year-old Ossining girl for shoplifting.

$308.95 Worth of Items Stolen

Two teenage girls are facing criminal charges for stealing $308.95 worth of merchandise from store displays in Yorktown, police said.

A 16-year-old Peekskill girl and 18-year-old Ossining girl, whose names police did not release, were charged with petty larceny, a misdemeanor. 

Police said the teens took merchandise from Sears on Feb. 13 and exited the store without paying for the items. They were taken into custody and later released. The two teens were scheduled to appear in Yorktown Town Court on Feb. 28.

Stolen Earrings from Sears

Police responding to a theft complain at the Jefferson Valley Mall revealed a 48-year-old Mahopac woman had stolen and concealed earrings in her handbag. 

Ana M. Salazar was charged with petty larceny, a misdemeanor. 

Police were dispatched to Sears on Feb. 20 and revealed the woman had taken earrings, valued at $48, concealed them in her handbag and exited the store without paying for them. 

Salazar was released and scheduled to appear in Yorktown Town Court on March 21.
