Cops: Mohegan Lake Teen Faces Felony Charge

A 17-year-old Mohegan Lake teen is scheduled to answer a felony charge in Yorktown Town Court on Thursday, Yorktown police said.

Jeffrey Egan was arrested on Jan. 16 after violating a past temporary order of protection. Police said investigation revealed that on Oct. 29 the teen had thrown a victim to the ground, causing the person to sustain a fractured hip.

As a result, Egan was charged with first-degree criminal contempt, a felony; and third-degree assault, a misdemeanor.

The teen was remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $1,000 bail and scheduled to appear in Yorktown Town Court on Jan. 23.
