Obituary: Carmela Magaletto of Mohegan Lake Dies
Friends may visit the Yorktown Funeral Home on Sunday, Nov. 4 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations to St. Jude Children's Hospital would be appreciated.
From the Yorktown Funeral Home: Carmela Magaletto of Mohegan Lake passed away on Oct. 30.
Magaletto was born in S. Stefano, Italy to Pietro and Olimpia DeFeo. She married Elio Magaletto in Italy on May 8, 1955. Together they came to the United States to start a new life. The woman worked as a nursing assistant for 27 years at St. John’s Riverside Hospital in the ICU unit.
She is survived by her three daughters Phyllis Magaletto ( Steven Makai), Lynn Benincasa (Matt), Susan Esposito (Anthony), two sons Peter Magaletto (Cheryl) and Rocco Magaletto (Barbara), one sister Adelina Cardillo, three brothers Giuseppe, Giovanni and Beniamino DeFeo. Also survived by seven grandchildren Michelle, Matthew, Nicole, Rocco, Peter, Danielle and Noelle. Predeceased by her husband Elio and granddaughter Deanna.

Friends may visit the Yorktown Funeral Home on Sunday, Nov. 4 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be on Monday, Nov. 5 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Shrub Oak at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Yonkers.
