Matthew J. Furey Passes Away at 30
Furey worked at the Progressive Veterinary Hospital in Somers. Memorial visitation will be held Wednesday, Oct. 10 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Cargain Funeral Home in Carmel.
From the Cargain Funeral Home: Matthew J. Furey passed away Oct. 8. He was 30.
Furey was born July 8, 1982 in Mt. Kisco to Gerald and Vanessa (Vandegrift) Furey. He was married to Catherine Keefe. Furey loved animals and worked as a veterinarian technician for Progressive Veterinary Hospital in Somers.
The man is survived by his beloved wife Catherine, his loving parents Gerard and Vanessa, sisters Meghan French and Kathleen Furey.

Memorial visitation will be held Wednesday, Oct. 10 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Cargain Funeral Home in Carmel. A funeral service will be 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
In Lieu of flowers donations are asked to made in Furey's memory to Guiding Eyes for the Blind 611 Granite Springs Road in Yorktown Heights.
