Angela Gaziano Dies at 79 After Battle with ALS

From the Yorktown Funeral Home: Angela Gaziano of Yorktown Heights and formerly of Woodlawn Heights, NY passed away on Jan. 31, 2013 after a courageous two-year battle with ALS. She was 79. 

Gaziano was born in New York City to Sylvestra (Mauro) and Calogero Gaziano. She was a lover of the arts. She enjoyed traveling, playing scrabble, watching game shows and old movies, going to Broadway shows and most of all going to the Opera and the Ballet. Her greatest pleasure was being a devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, friend and neighbor.  

She will be sadly missed by those who knew her. Gaziano is survived by her loving children Lisa Hodza Lewis and her husband Heath of Queens and Janine Hodza Schenck and her husband Michael and her cherished grandchildren Matthew and Kristine of Yorktown Heights.

Funeral Mass was held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton on Monday, Feb. 4.
