'House to Home': Design and Decorating Event Thursday Night in Larchmont

The economy has turned, we're looking at our houses with new eyes: weighing needed updates and future plans with a few 'wants' for right now. How to begin?

We have young kids, but don't want to feel like we live in a nursery school...how do I hide this rainbow of plastic kid stuff?

We spent a lot of money on a big renovation, but the space looks blah

What updates bring the best ROI?

How can I improve the curb appeal of my house?

We're ready to make some changes, how do we start?

This Thursday night, May 16th, you can have these very questions answered, and more as the Junior League of Westchester on the Sound presents their spring event, House to Home in the Garden Room of the Larchmont Temple from 6:30-9:30.

Whether you’re buying, selling, or staying put, garner ideas and techniques for cost-effectively adding fresh pop and polish to your living spaces while keeping them cozy and functional.

Socializing, snacks, tips and trends from a handful of specialty local home decor vendors will frame a lively panel discussion with four local Home Design and Decoration experts. The panel will utilize a multi-media format to illustrate solutions to previously submitted scenarios, as well as fielding questions from the audience.

The panel represents a combined 90 years of in-home, hands-on Home Design and Decoration, I'm proud and flattered to be joining Catherine Wachs, Landscape Designer and owner of The Lazy Gardener, Michael Murphy NAHB CHP,  Director of Project Development for Murphy Brothers Contractors,  and Rick Yestadt AIA APA, Architect and principal of Gordon + Yestadt Architects.

Tickets may be purchased in advance, online for $35.00, $40.00 at the door. The Junior League promotes volunteerism, and guides women develop to their full potential. Funds raised from this event help support various community programs the JLWOS chapter sponsors. Hope to see you there!

Larchmont Temple is located at 75 Larchmont Avenue in Larchmont.
