Yorktown Woman Named New Pastry Chef at Tarrytown House Estate

Beth Shea, a Yorktown resident, has been appointed as the new Pastry Chef at the Tarrytown House Estate on the Hudson.

"Beth has tremendous experience in the food and beverage industry, having worked in restaurants, hotels, conference centers and high volume corporate hospitality groups," Food and Beverage Director at Tarrytown House Estate on the Hudson Rich Porteus said in a statement. "We are pleased to welcome her to our team."

Shea was most recently the Head Baker at Magnolia Bakery where she oversaw the production, packaging and shipment of a large volume of pastry items across the country.

Prior to Magnolia, the woman served as Pastry Chef for Legends Hospitality Management Group at Yankee Stadium. While there, she oversaw the production of desserts for all luxury suite patrons and team owners, as well as social gatherings and events.

A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Shea has worked in highly regarded restaurants and hotels including the Beacon, where she served as Pastry Assistant; Marika Restaurant, where she was Assistant Pastry Chef; and ICON restaurant at W New York-The Court, where she held the title of Pastry Chef de Partie.
