Community YMCA Summer Camp Registration
Registration is now open for the
Community YMCA Discovery Camp.
This fun
affordable day camp is held in North Salem, NY. The YMCA DISCOVERY CAMP program offers children ages 6 -12 days filled with a variety of activities including sports & games, FREE YMCA swim lessons at beautiful Lake Purdys, water play, art &
crafts, music & drama, hands on science & nature programs, special trips and much, much more.
We also have 5 brand new ½ day specialty camps this year:
Construction Kids–A new camp designed for the child who loves
to build. As a group, we construct large-scale projects to play with inside and
outside; while individually each child is free to create smaller projects on
their own. We teach safe, appropriate tool usage, along with drawing, painting, and creative play. Construction camp is about having fun, making new friends, bonding with staff, and building cool stuff!
Taste Buds - Do you have a future chef or baker in your family? This camp will give kids the chance to explore the world of cooking. Your budding chef will learn essential kitchen skills that include measuring, mixing and kneading while creating healthy & tasty treats. At the end of the week your child will have completed their very own recipe book.

Music Maestros - Learn the building blocks of music! This is an opportunity for young students to explore music, engage in fun rhythm based games, be introduced to various instruments, sing and play in a band! The week will culminate in a final performance. Instruments will be provided.
Fashion Friends – Attention all fashionistas and crafty kids alike. Love fashion? Want to learn how to make your own fashionable garments? Our Fashion Friends will help let your inner fashionista out. Come and meet other fashion lovers while you learn to create and sew your own designs. In just one week, you can make a stylish bag and your very own skirt!

Pop Chefs – This camp will give kids the chance to explore the exciting world of cookies & cake pops. Kids will learn to bake, design and decorate cookies, and 4 different types of cake pops. All individual creations can be taken home and the end of the week each child will go home with a completed portfolio.
