Make up artist and Yorktown resident Meredith Hayman is Patch's newest blogger! She is one of the most recommended bridal makeup artists in the Hudson Valley. 3. Toys for Tots Collections

Dr. Jeffrey Ginsberg's Pediatric Dentistry office is collecing toys for Toys For Tots until Dec. 14. His office is located at 1974 Maple Hill Street in Yorktown Heights. If you know of other Toys for Tots collections, please tell us in the comments below.

4. Toy Collection at Gymnastics City

Gymnastics City, located 2121 Crompond Rd. in Cortlandt Manor is collecting unwrapped, new toys for children affected by Sandy. Toys will be distributed to children in Breezy Point, Rockaways, Marine Park Brooklyn, Massapequa, Long Beach, Island Park, etc. Call gym city at (914)734-1616 for more information.

5. Volunteers Needed for Storm Clean Up at Breezy Point

The Emerald Isle Immigration Center is picking up volunteers at the Verplanck Schoolhouse, located on Sixth Street in Verplanck, 7 a.m. Saturday Dec. 1 and Dec. 8  to help with storm clean up at Breezy Point. Advanced registration is required. Register by going  here.
