I pray this is not Kelly D'Amato. I hope there is another 22 year old woman named Kelly Damato.

I would love to understand how this situation concerns any one that just commented she's alive and well and it's none of anyone's business I think she has enough to deal with she doesn't need anyone's two cents accept from her family and friends that are supporting her

Maybe because some of us were there for her and her family when her twin sister Lauren passed away from a drinking and driving incident. I can't speak for anyone else except myself but I was really disappointed when I read the story. One would think anyone who knew Lauren would never get behind the wheel inebriated.

She wasn't inebriated. Perhaps she's having a difficult time GRIEVING her DEAD IDENTICAL TWIN sister and may be self medicating. If you claim you were there for her and her family, than you must know them well. I'm positive she and her whole family wouldn't appreciate you commenting on this article exploiting her even more than she has been ......but I'm just saying!

Don't make assumptions. And if you are drinking alcohol do not get behind the wheel and drive - it's plain and simple.

It is everyone's business- drunk drivers kill innocent people. Just because she is grieving doesn't mean she gets a free pass. What if she killed someone that night?

I just watched a good friend bury her twin under similar circumstances this week. We all fear the worst and hope for the best. I know the family and had many interactions with both young ladies. It remains a very sad memory for all of us still. I also know that there are different ways in handling these situations. I only hope is for a long and happy life for those of us who are still here. This is not about being right or judging. Its about turning liabilities into assets. NO matter how alone she feels or how embarrassing this might be, I hope she learns that she has many friends she has not met who already care about her and her family's well being. I for one hope for the best. I have lived long enough to see twins overcome this type of situation. Its not about being bad, its about getting better. Its not about being wrong , its about being happy. Its not about being responsible but being accountable. Its not about being isolated , but being a useful "one of many". Its about being a power of example of what to be instead of what not to be. I will still keep them them all in my prayers even from far away. I wish them all the best. I will admit to being selfish regarding this matter. I would like a good outcome. Please understand if you can, this is not about me being right. I don't want to be right. I would like to be happy about this situation's outcome. I will rely on the fact that it can happen. Frankly the only one who needs to understand is Kelly. Much Love

http://www.lohud.com/article/20140217/NEWS02/302170014/10-charged-drunken-driving I guess she's still "self medicating"... I agree with Sami, it's everyone's business when someone risks innocent lives with behavior like this. This is not ok, everyone goes through hardship throughout their lives, it does not make it an excuse to behave in this way. Time to grow up.
