And the excitement continues to build. The ferris wheel was erected and lit up, judging of Legos, needlework and photography was underway, flower displays were setting up in the new barn, antique tractors were lined up, and all the chicken and rabbit cages were set up and awaiting the arrival of the animals on Thursday. Baking, flowers and produce entries were trickling in early, and the food vendors were prepping their stands. Everything's on track for tomorrow night's opening at 5:00pm.
A few things to look forward to on opening night:
- Reduced admission pricing: only $2.00 per person all night
- Karaoke contest from 5:00 to 6:30 on the main stage. You've got to sing to win!
- Live performances by The Monarch (6:45) and The Mighty Few Band (8:00)
- Discounted ride wristbands, only $25 for unlimited rides from 6:00 to 10:00 (and look around town at area businesses for coupons good for an additional $5 off wristbands)
