Mohegan Volunteer Fire Association 90th Anniversary and Parade

The Mohegan Volunteer Fire Association is celebrating its 90th anniversary of providing fire and, along with its sister agency, the Mohegan Volunteer Ambulance Corp., emergency services to the people of the Towns of Cortlandt and Yorktown.

In connection with this, we are also hosting the annual Westchester County Firemen's Association Convention.

This is a three day event beginning on Sept.13, 2012 with a seminar held at the Colonial Terrace and ending with a parade  on the afternoon of  Sept. 15, 2012. The parade, which will proceed down Cortlandt Boulevard (U.S. Route 6) and Westbrook Street, will be attended by more than 30 fire departments  from Westchester, Putnam, and surrounding Counties. 

As each department will be led by a marching band and escorted by its fire apparatus, it promises to be an impressive event.
