Yorktown Cop, Trainer, Assistant Coach Receive Awards for Saving Father's Life

Yorktown police officer Lawrence Paniccia, along with Lakeland Copper Beech Middle School field monitor MaryLu Fiori, athletic trainer Amanda Tiffany and John Jay High School lacrosse coach Patrick Chiappetta received the Life Saving Awards last week from the town of Yorktown for saving the life of a man earlier this year.


A father in his 50s was on his way to watch his daughter's junior varsity softball game at Lakeland High School when he suddenly collapsed with an apparent heart attack just outside the fence at the high school's all purpose field on May 1.
