Nikhil Milind Jani Receives Eagle Scout Award

Nikhil Milind Jani, Troop 173 charted by St. Patrick's Church in Yorktown, had his Eagle Court of Honor on Oct. 23 at The Thayer Hotel in West Point. 

The Eagle Scout Award is the highest award that the Boy Scouts of America can bestow upon a young man," Yorktown councilman Vishnu Patel said.

Eagle Scout Nikhil's service project was to construct an Outside Stations of Cross Prayer Path in the back of St. Patrick's Church, Yorktown Heights. Nikhil's Eagle Court of Honor ceremony was attended by troop 173 scouts, scouts leaders, family and friends. 

Yorktown councilman Vishnu Patel presented a Certificate of Achievement on behalf of the Yorktown town board and Assemblyman Steve Katz.
