Leaf Pick-Up Reminders for Yorktown Residents

With autumn in full swing, Yorktown officials began leaf pickup this week, Recycling Coordinator Kim Angliss-Gage shared with Patch.

Leaves packed in 30-gallon paper biodegradable bags will be collected by the town's Refuse and Recycling Department crews in the orange trucks until Dec. 13 on your recycling days.

Here are a few reminders:

  • Only leaves will be collected; no branches or grass clippings.
  • Tuesday, Nov. 5 (Election Day), Leaf Bag and Recycling collections in Section 6 will be on Wednesday, Nov. 6.
  • In recognition of Veteran’s Day, town offices will be closed on Monday, Nov. 11
