Coaches Presented With Award for Saving a Young Girl's Life

Catherine Gasteyer, Director of Government and External Verizon and Red Cross Board Member, presented the Good Samaritan Group Award to Katy Sherwood, Mike Rescigno, and Jeff Wilson.

Katy Sherwood, Mike Rescigno and Jeff Wilson were recognized by the American Red Cross with the "good samaritan/group: trained to save lives" award at the ninth annual Community of Heroes Breakfast Celebration last week.

The award comes after the trio saved a young girl's life during a regular volleyball practice when she suddenly fell to the floor, convulsing, last year.

Catherine Gasteyer, Director of Government and External Verizon and Red Cross Board Member, presented the Good Samaritan Group Award to Sherwood, Rescigno and Wilson on June 23.
