John G. Testa, Westchester County Legislator for District 1, received a major endorsement from the Building and Construction Trades Council of Westchester and Putnam Counties. The Trades Council is affiliated with the AFL-CIO, has 36 affiliated organizations and represents over 35,000 construction workers.
“As a County Legislator and previously as Mayor of Peekskill John has always supported the working men and women of our organization and we are looking forward to continue working with him as County Legislator,” stated Edward Doyle, President of the Building Trades Council.
“I am grateful to once again gain the endorsement and support of the Building and Construction Trades Council,” stated Testa. “These groups represent the hard-working middle class worker whose values and skills built this nation and who are constantly under attack by high taxes and a struggling economy. For the past four years as County Legislator I have worked to bring opportunity and jobs to Westchester and support policies that create an atmosphere for growth and investment in our county. I cannot thank them enough for having the confidence in me to continue as County Legislator,” Testa added.
