Somers Concession Stand Proposals

1) Yorktown Town Board members will meet tonight at 7:30 p.m. at Town Hall. Click here for the agenda. 

2) The town of Somers is soliciting proposals for the provisions of concessions operation in Reis Park with the right to the exclusive sale of food and beverages. Proposals must be received by Monday, Feb. 10. Read more about it here.

3) Yorktown town board members expect to make a decision on filling the vacant town board seat, previously held by the Yorktown Highway Superintendent-elect Dave Paganelli, in a few weeks. 

4) According to the National Weather Service, today is expected to be snowy and cold. High temperatures will be near 21.

5) Correction: The IHOP in Mohegan Lake received no critical violations during its last inspection by health officials, which took place on Sept. 12, 2013, according to state records. The data on our interactive map was downloaded Jan. 7 and cites an earlier inspection.

This is disgraceful the way you left IHOP on the headline as one of the shops with violations and then corrected it in small print when you open Patch. A front page apology is called for in a case like this. Since IHOP was the only business mentioned on you headline, it should be a headline apology!
