Troopers: Man Had 15 Grams of Ecstasy, 11 Ounces Marijuana

Somers state troopers said Lucas A. Erder was stooped for speeding in the town of Bedford when police discovered the drugs.

A 21-year-old Connecticut man is facing several felony charges after state troopers in Somers found him in possession of 15 grams of MDMA ecstasy and 11 ounces of marijuana.

Lucas A. Erder, of Norfolk, was stopped for speeding on I-684 in the town of Bedford on May 8 at around 7:45 p.m. He was traveling at 88 mph in a 65-mph speed zone, state police said. 

Once the trooper got to his car, he detected an odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. With the help of a K9 police also found 15 grams of MDMA ecstasy and 11 ounces of marijuana, police said.

Erder was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal possession of marijuana, both felonies. 

He was arraigned in the Town of Bedford Curt and remanded to Westchester County Jail on $75,000 bail.
