State Police Issue 85 Tickets on Taconic State Parkway in Yorktown

Troopers conducted a traffic enforcement detail on Thursday, Feb. 28. The majority of the tickets were for speeding, police said.

New York State police troopers conducted a traffic enforcement detail on the Taconic State Parkway in the town of Yorktown on Feb. 28. They issued a total of 85 traffic tickets – the majority for speeding – police said.

Several people who wrote on the Yorktown-Somers Patch Facebook page that they saw numerous state troopers on the Taconic State Parkway near the Baldwin exit on the northbound side on Thursday – as many as 8 to 10 at once.

"Sounds like they made lots of money," Tina Warada wrote.
