Lake Mohegan Fire Department Takes Home Competition Awards

Members of the fire department won several awards and trophies at the Engine 260 Muster in Milford, CT and at the Mahopac Falls Fire Department's 75th Anniversary Parade.

Lake Mohegan Fire Department members took home a number of trophies from two competitions held last weekend – at the Engine 260 Muster in Milford, CT and at the Mahopac Falls Fire Department's 75th Anniversary Parade.

During the 41st Annual Engine 260 Antique Fire Apparatus Show & Muster, fire apparatus and firefighters competed against each other by showing off their skills. They battled for the first place trophy in eight different competitions.

"The competition is very stiff out there, but it's a lot of fun," Lake Mohegan Fire Chief Brian Wolert said. "I'm extremely proud of [the Lake Mohegan firefighters]."
