Lake Mohegan Fire Department's open house is free to the public and will take place on Sunday, Oct. 14 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at their headquarters at 1975 East Main Street, on Route 6, in Mohegan Lake.

Events for the day will include tours of the firehouse, fire engine and ambulance tours, as well as demonstrations by the firefighters. Children could crawl through the smoke trailer to learn about escaping a house fire.
