A 19-year-old man was arrested and police are searching for a possible second suspect following a burglary in Mohegan Lake early Tuesday morning, Yorktown police said.
Police officers DiPietrantonio, Pavletich and Sgt. Delulio were dispatched to a Kimble Avenue home on April 16 at about 4:10 a.m. on a burglary in progress report.
The homeowner suffered minor injuries while holding down the suspect until police came to the scene, Yorktown police Lt. Kevin Soravilla told Patch.
Sgt. Delulio took custody of Gregory M. Greenspan, of the Bronx. The man was charged with first-degree burglary, a felony.
Police said he and at least one other unidentified suspect entered the Kimble Avenue home in an attempt to steal property. They were armed with what appeared to be a pistol, police said.
Greenspan was being held Tuesday at the Yorktown Police Department awaiting arraignment in the Yorktown Justice Court.
Lt. Soravilla said a Westchester County Police helicopter was searching the area for the second suspect. The incident is still under investigation, police said.
