Jefferson Valley Woman, 73, Threatens Victim with Her Dog

A 73-year-old Jefferson Valley woman is due in court on Tuesday to answer charges that she threatened another woman with her dog, Yorktown police said.

"The defendant allegedly menaced a female victim by allowing her pit bull type dog to walk towards her while making a verbal threat of harm, placing her in fear of physical injury," police said in a press release.

The dispute between the two women occurred at a Longhill Drive home, police said.

The woman voluntarily appeared at police headquarters on July 7 where she was placed under arrest. She was later released and scheduled to appear in Yorktown Town Court on July 16.
