Four Part Workshop Series: Watercolor A to Z

September 16, 23, 30 and October 7    10 am to Noon  



Explore the beauty of
watercolor painting with emphasis on composition, tried and true color
combinations, and simple techniques to help complete your painting.   Presented by local artist Lynn Shulman, and
sponsored by the Friends of the Somers Library.  



First class will begin
with discussion of materials, a demonstration, and an exercise to get you
started.   Watercolor paper will be
supplied by instructor at first class.

You must bring the following
materials to the first class: 
* A small sketch book, a #2H pencil and a
kneaded eraser  * A # 4 or # 8 watercolor
brush (Loew-Cornell brand)  * Plastic
palette * Plastic water
container  * Watercolor tube paints
in:  ultramarine blue, cadmium red, and
cadmium yellow (Cotman or  Winsor Newton
brand).    All materials may be found at AC Moore and at
www. DickBlick.com. 



This
series is free but space is limited and you must register. Please call the library at 914 232-5717 to
register, or you can register online at www.somerslibrary.org.   Please be sure to notify the library in case you can not attend so another attendee can take your place .
