I left my native Romania 40 years ago, happy to escape the Communist regime, and with an avid desire to see the world. The next seven years I spent in Israel, tasting for the first time the personal freedom of expression, and meeting people who, like me, came there to rebuild their life. Later on, I jumped at the opportunity to study in United States. I studied at Purdue University, where I received my Ph.D. degree in Nuclear Engineering.

In 1984, with my wife and two daughters, we arrived in Yorktown, New York. For 23 years I designed medical instruments for a large Corporation in Tarrytown. At my retirement I decided to leave behind the world of engineering and pursue my interests in travel, photography and music.

Currently I work as a piano technician and volunteer as docent at the Katonah Art Museum in Katonah and at the Caramoor Musical Festival. Every month I enjoy singing and playing the musical saw at Festivals and for the patients of a hospital in White Plains.
