<p>The <i>North County News</i> (<i>NCN</i>) is Yorktown's very first weekly newspaper. The newspaper was founded 44 years ago and is owned by Chase Media Group, formerly known as the PennySaver Corporation.</p> <p><i>NCN</i> has evolved to include online media news services for area residents, including video, social media and up-to-date web-based articles.</p> <p><i>NCN</i> has won many New York Press Association Awards over the years and continues to produce timely regional coverage of sports and news, as well as human interest and lifestyle pieces.</p> <p>Yorktown resident Bruce Apar is publisher at <i>NCN</i>.
