A Terrific Time at the Final 2014 Spring Scrimmage

A great day started with the men’s 50 plus teams holding off the rain at a 9 AM start. The Comeback kids had their way with a team of miscellaneous players from different teams and free agents. However, for a team that has not played together at all, the opponents put up a good fight. All had fun and got a tan!

The sun came out just before the coed teams arrived on the scene for the 10:30 scrimmage.

The Grizzly Bats turned out in almost full force. They played against a team of players from I'd Hit That and Who's on First which will be combining forces this year to take on the league. The new team will be lead by co-captains Jim Agostinelli and Lisa Woolard. Joining them in the lineup was a great bunch of free agents who will be forming another team which will be managed by Dean Maykut. This is a team to watch — they are going to be tough to beat. Grizzles went down in this one, but watching them play, they will be a team to reckon with this year.

Thanks to Tom Cavalieri of YSA Leagues for his recap of Sunday’s action!

Mens’ 50 plus and the coed teams will be combined this year to include all the teams in one league.

With the holidays coming there will be no scrimmage time next Sunday. We are planning to get some scrimmage time in during the next two weeks before the season kicks (or should I say hits) off on April 27. Check our website at ysaleagues.com for schedule updates.

Invite your friends and family! The more players we get, the more fun we’ll have!
