Does Yorktown Supervisor, Mr. Grace - Care About the Hardworking People of Yorktown?

It is perplexing as to why Yorktown Supervisor, Mr. Michael Grace, would have invited the public for the special, public meeting regarding the vacant Town Board seat on: Tuesday, April 15 at 6:45 p.m.?  This is an important issue that many people in the Community would surely like to have a say in.  But why would he have selected a date that is: 1. during spring break for both Lakeland and Yorktown Schools - where many families are out of town... 2. TAX day...where many individuals are likely home - crunching their tax numbers before the deadline...and 3. during the second night of Passover when many Yorktown residents are having special dinners with their families?  If Mr. Grace truly cared about the hardworking people of Yorktown, he would have put more thought and care into selecting a better date to invite the public.

And further, if one wishes to participate in Town matters, it is always wise to check and re-check the Town Board calendar, www.yorktownny.org often.  For some reason, since Mr. Grace has been at Yorktown's helm - last minute changes to the Town Board Meeting schedule are frequent.  Case in point, in last week's Examiner issue, Mr. Pezzulo printed that the meeting on 4/15 was to begin at 7:30 p.m., after checking the Town site a few days later, the meeting has now been moved up to 6:45 p.m.  This sort of last minute change does not bode well for the hardworking person, who, after rushing to arrive to a Town Board meeting, now (unknowingly) 45 minutes late, may have missed his or her chance to speak.
